  • Represented borrowers, lenders, and investors in more than $18.5 billion of financings, equity investments, workouts, and foreclosures


  • Represented money center lenders and other regional commercial lenders in over $3.5 billion in acquisition, development, and construction loans


  • Represented a Fortune 100 company in the real estate aspects of its multiple debt offerings syndicated by JPMorgan Chase to 35 lenders and private placement of senior secured notes for $10 billion, secured in part by real property in seven states, and in its restructuring with JPMorgan Chase of $3.3 billion of credit facilities secured by U.S. and European assets


  • Represented a U.S. money center bank in its $110 million refinancing of a major indoor professional sports facility and in its placement of a portion of the credit facility with other banks


  • Represented a major Washington, D.C. office building developer in approximately $800 million of equity investments and debt financings


  • Represented an affordable housing entity in over $150 million worth of multifamily residential projects throughout the United States, including a $31 million tax-exempt bond re-financing


  • Represented a major Washington, D.C.-area developer in its $60 million financing for the redevelopment of a 200,000 SF office building project


  • Represented a private owner in its $56.5 million public debt financing of an 850,000 SF office building in Baltimore, MD, leased to the GSA


  • Represented a secured junior lender in its workout among the borrower and three other secured creditors on a mixed-use 50-acre project in the Washington, D.C. area with 115 town home lots and 100,000 SF of retail space


  • Represented a Congressionally-chartered transit entity in real estate matters related to its tax-exempt and conventional financings totaling $39 million


  • Represented a national labor union in the acquisition of its national headquarters building in Washington, D.C.


  • Represented a major Washington, D.C. developer in its $30.2 million like-kind exchange sale of an office building in connection with a proposed 800,000 SF office project


  • Represented a major professional sports league in its facilitation of $587 million in stadium financings by affiliates of various league teams


  • Represented a Washington, D.C.-area independent school in its $20 million tax-exempt bond financing for its campus renovation and redevelopment project


  • Represented the borrower of $5.5 million of tax-exempt District of Columbia revenue bonds to finance the acquisition and reconstruction of its educational facilities

Equity Investments

  • Represented a major Washington, D.C. office building developer in equity investments in projects with approximately $800 million in debt financings


  • Represented a private equity fund in its acquisition of a national retail chain with over 300 U.S. store locations


  • Represented a private investor who invested $30 million in four Washington, D.C.-area office real estate development projects
